MUSCAT -- Oman Oasis launched water bottles in 200 ml, 500 ml, 1 litre, 1.5-litre and 2-litre sizes yesterday. Engineer Ahmed bin Hassan bin Alawi al Dheeb Ba'Omar, Under-Secretary for Commerce and Industry launched them at a function held at the water company's production centre in Rusayl Industrial Estate. Oxiplus, which contains 300 per cent more oxygen than normal drinking water, a new product of the company in 1.5 and 2-litre bottles, was also launched on the occasion.
The company yesterday celebrated its 15 years of excellent service in the field to the people of Oman. Officials from various ministries and government departments, shareholders, executive committee members and senior officials of the Zubair Corporation, the owner of the Oasis Water Company, were present for the function. In his welcome address, the company General Manager N Janardhan said Oman Oasis has become an intrinsic part of more than 15,000 households and workplaces in the Sultanate of Oman. Through direct service Oman Oasis brings good health and security to the doorsteps of many.
Janardhan later said: "We are extremely proud to be the first in the market to offer oxygenated water, an option that has been introduced only recently in the international market. In fact, wide acceptance and commendation of the Oman Oasis brand is what has moved us to this launch." With a reputation of having consistently delivering quality drinking water to thousands of homes and offices for 15 years, the company launched the brand's retail version of packaged drinking "as customers felt the need to access the brand they preferred in smaller, convenient packs."
"And the company attributes the huge success of the 5-gallon and 6-litre bottles it has marketed over the years and its market leadership with its stringent adherence to the 'right balance' principle.
