MUSCAT -- Leading regional retail player KM Trading is all set to open its first hypermarket outside the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a sprawling facility in Ruwi getting ready for launch in the first week of May.
The KM Trading Group, which has a chain of 14 retail outlets in the UAE, is launching the Oman operations as part of its expansion plan in the region.

The new facility, which is strategically located adjacent to Mazoun Complex, has a floor area of 100,000 square feet covering three floors. The corporate philosophy of KM Trading is to offer a wide choice of quality products at reasonable prices. KM outlets are particularly renowned for a unique collection of readymade garments at affordable prices. The garment collection at KM outlets are very popular among Asian expatriates.

Presently, KM Trading has over 3,500 employees and the company has recruited 200 employees, including 100 Omanis, for its operations in Oman. The hypermarket enjoys locational advantage with customer entrance from both front and back and adequate vehicle parking space. The basement parking facility can accommodate 100 vehicles while parking areas in the front can cater to well over 300 vehicles, besides additional parking space at the back.
