MUSCAT -- The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) yesterday announced the issuance of two commemorative coins (1 gold and 1 silver) on the occasion of the 35th National Day 2005.

Each coin depicts the 35th National Day logo.

These coins are legal tender for their face values and may be purchased from CBO. Prices of these coins are subject to change in accordance with the variations in the prices of the bullion in the international market.

The coin obverse carries coat of arms, the name of the country (Sultanate Of Oman), CBO and denomination in Arabic and English, while the reverse carries the 35th National Day logo.

The denomination of the gold coin is RO1, its fineness is 0.916, diametre 38.61mm, weight 37.80g and price RO293.

Denomination of the silver coin is RO1, its fineness is 0.925, diametre 38.61 mm, weight 28.28g and price RO12.
