Dubai: O2, a leading provider of premium mobile data devices in Asia Pacific, yesterday said its latest PDA-phone, the Xda Atom Exec, will operate on a completely Arabised platform.
This is strike two in O2's ongoing partnership with Informobility, the Middle East-based provider of mobile and wireless products, services and solutions. The Xda Atom Exec will be the first in O2's range of products to run on a fully Arabised platform.
Manoj Bhatia, chief executive of Unitec, O2's appointed distributor in the UAE, said, "The market response to the Arabic overlay bundled with the Xda Atom and Xda Atom Pure has been encouraging. Since then, we have had a lot of requests from customers for products by O2 that run on a fully Arabised platform. The market spoke and O2 listened. Xda Atom Exec will operate on a completely Arabised platform and customers can expect future mobile data devices to be ideal for the UAE market."
The Xda Atom Exec is geared toward meeting the needs of rising professionals and high-flyers in the business world. It retains the key propositions of the Xda Atom, including its compact size and core functions, with new, upgraded software, enhanced features and improvements in speed and storage capacity.
Customers of the Xda Atom Exec can enjoy full Arabic text and layout support across all features. This includes synchronisation with Microsoft Office and Outlook, as well as full support for Internet Explorer, MSN chat, and SMS/MMS.
O2 entered into a strategic alliance with Informobility in July to bundle its Xda Atom and Xda Atom Pure with its Fee Jeibi Ein (FJE) series of Arabised products.
