Norway's Foreign Minister , Brenda Burke arrived on Tuesday, to Kurdistan region at the head of a high level delegation

from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway and the Norwegian Ambassador to Iraq.

A statement from the presidency of the regional government, reported for "Shafaq News", that " the Norwegian Minister was received by the Chairman of the Department of Foreign Relations in Kurdistan Government , Falah Mustafa , Iraq's ambassador to Norway , Sndens Omar Ali, noting that the visit comes within the framework of the attention of the international community to the situation in Kurdistan Region , and express support for security, stability and development in Kurdistan region and face any attack or attack by terrorists".

The statement noted that the Norwegian Minister said when arrived to the capital, Erbil that he came to deliver a message of support from the Norwegian government to Kurdistan Region, hoping that security, stability and prosperity would prevail in Kurdistan Region on an ongoing basis".

The statement said that Falah Mustafa, expressed to the Minister his hope that this visit will be a motivation to promote better relations and the position of the international community to unite against the terrorists and enemies of humanity.

The statement added that it is scheduled to brief the Norwegian Foreign Minister during this visit closely on the situation of displaced persons, as well as holding meetings with the head of Kurdistan Regional Government , the President of the region and senior officials in Kurdistan Region.

Senior Western and international officials came to Erbil since the recent events witnessed in Nineveh province from the control of ISIS terrorists on large areas of which are many of the Iraqi provinces and its threat to the borders of Kurdistan, an expression of their support for the regional government and Peshmarga forces in addressing terrorism of ISIS.
