Sharjah: New tenancy contract attestation outlets are available now with Sharjah Municipality signing two agreements.
The municipality signed two agreements, with “Estemarat” and “Watha’iq”, two paperwork facilitation companies which are part of Tas’heel, to increase the number of outlets for tenancy contract attestation and ease the process for its customers.
Sultan Al Mualla, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, said that people can now attest their tenancy contracts at all Tas’heel outlets as well as “Estemarat” and “Watha’iq” centres in both the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Sharjah and in industrial area 13.
The municipality currently has 12 outlets across the emirate for contract attestation and the number will increase further.
This comes as answer to people’s complaints about the crowding at contract attestation centres and the difficulty faced when trying to carry out the process. The municipality had previously promised more outlets to relieve the pressure created after tenancy contract attestation became a requirement for various transactions, including visa renewal and the installation of electricity and water facilities.
Abdullah Al Mulla, Director of Estemarat Services, said that contract attestation is the first of many municipality services that will be available at Tas’heel centres.
