MTC-Vodafone Kuwait yesterday announced the launch of the MTC-Vodafone MENU, a hi-tech service that combines all of MTC-Vodafone's products and services under one portal.
The announcement was made at a Press conference, attended by over 70 regional correspondents, in Kuwait. The new offering merges cutting-edge technology and maximum user-friendliness, delivering the greatest simplicity and convenience, according to MTC-Vodafone and software developers SurfKitchen.
MENU is currently available for all MTC-Vodafone customers in Kuwait and will soon be extended to Bahrain and Jordan.
According to Deputy Director-General for the company's Business Development Group, Haitham Al Khaled, Bahrain will probably be next to go online with MENU. The service is similar to basic menus available on modern mobile phones but benefits cusmers by combining all MTC-Vodafones services and phone native services including Internet, web and WAP browsing, mobile TV, MMS, ringtones among others with an easier navigation experience.
MENU also automatically updates all MTC-Vodafone products and services so that customers have continuous access to the latest innovations without having to activate or request any of the services specially.
MTC-Vodafone MENU makes it more efficient and convenient to use the mobile phone and customers can access and play the latest games and personalise their ringtones, receive help directly without dialing 107 and pay their bills through their mobile phones, Al Khaled said.
"A year and a half after successfully launching 3G in Bahrain, we are confident that MTC-Vodafone MENU will be greatly appreciated by our customers as it is a first of its kind in the region and the world," he said.
The software programme driving MENU took six months to develop and bring to the market and currently supports the Nokia 6600, 6670 and Nokia 7610 models though the range of certified phones will expand.
