Tamimi's Proposal Calls To Reappoint Retired Personnel

MP Essam Al-Dabous has submitted a draft law to include an extra paragraph in Article 111 of law 68/1980 regarding the Commercial Law, reports Al-Shahed daily.
He demanded that the creditor should not receive the interests of loans in advance, but according to the scheduled period for paying back the loan if the loan will be paid through monthly or periodical installments.
He also demanded that the value must not be more than the prices announced by the Central Bank; however, the value of the interest will increase relatively with the period for paying back the loan.
He said the second article indicates the Prime Minister and the ministers have to carry out this law, adding that this draft law is aimed to obligate the banks and financial companies to apply a certain policy to receive the interests of loan. He further said the legislator clarified that the banks and financiers receive the interests of their loans in advance, which deprives the debtors to utilize the period allotted for paying back the loan.
Proposal
Meanwhile, MP Abdullah Al-Tamimi submitted a proposal recently to reappoint the retired personnel of governmental authorities, particularly ministries of Education, Interior and Defense in order to cover the shortage of staff in these ministries.
He clarified that the country is in need for efficient individuals with experience in various governmental fields to manage their duties and accelerate the process of Kuwaitization.
He also called for renewal of employment contracts with those personnel, provided their pensions were paid regularly, adding that the value of their contracts should not be less than 70 percent of the pension received by those who rejoin work.
Furthermore, MP Safa Al-Hashim, a member of the Response to Amiri Address Committee, announced that the committee has finished preparing the draft law of 'Response to Amiri Speech', which focuses on the speech of the Amir and key cases related to workforce development, economy and infrastructure, adding that the draft law will be referred soon to the parliament.
In addition, sources revealed that the parliament formed a team of attorney MPs on Monday to defend the electoral appeals submitted to the Constitutional Court, adding that a team of lawmakers was formed voluntarily to defend the decree of one-vote system.
