Al Ain, 12 April, 2006 (WAM) -- General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces announced today a plan for replacing the Al Ain Public Hospital.
According to the plan, whose details will be announced soon , the new Al Ain Public Hospital would again become one of the modern landmarks of Al Ain city, Sheikh Mohammed said during an inspection tour in the hospital. Abu Dhabi emirate will enjoy a distinctive level of high-quality health services, full support will be given to development projects that are intended to improve the everyday life quality of citizens, Sheikh Mohammed added. As far as education and training in the health sector is concerned, priority will be given to providing national administrative and technical human resources, unlimited support will be given to UAE nationals who wish to join health educational institutes in the UAE or abroad in order to back up the medical sector with qualified resources which could respond to the requirements of the comprehensive development march that the UAE is enjoying under the wise leadership of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed remarked. Accompanied by a number of senior officials, Sheikh Mohammed's tour took in the emergency room, X-Ray section, Internal Medicine ward, Gynecology ward, Pediatrics and other wards and sections where he was briefed by the staff on different aspects of the services. Sheikh Mohammed also toured the new 4-storey building which is still under construction. "Al Ain Public Hospital was built in 1971. In 1984, 370 rooms were added. In 2003, the hospital was expanded with another 120 rooms. The new building will add 180 rooms to the capacity of the hospital which will be commissioned within 60 days", Humaid Amah Al Mansouri, Director of the Eastern Medical Zone said.Mohammed bin Zayed announces plan for replacement of Al Ain Public Hospital
