Abu Dhabi: Hosts Model School 'A' from Abu Dhabi proved too strong for the likes of Islamia English School, Abu Dhabi in the Under-13 boys inter-school basketball championship being played at their courts in Mussafah.
Model School A trounced Islamia 79-12 with Fawaz Ahmad accounting for 15 points.
Mohammad Irshad chipped in with 13 points for the winners while Shoaib Rouf Butt scored eight points for Islamia.
In another encounter, Millennium School, Dubai defeated Sherwood Academy, Abu Dhabi 27-10.
Sai Prasad Shetty was in top form with 18 points for Millennium School while K.C. Vignash of Sherwood caught the eye with 6 points.
In the evening match, Model School A got the better of Abu Dhabi Indian School in a rather one-sided affair. The hosts won 59-9.
