The ministerial fact-finding committee in charge of Hawija incident discussed on Sunday, testimonies of security leaders, documents and images to supplement the investigation of this case and compensate the families of the victims.
"The fact-finding committee of Hawija events held a meeting in the President's office in the presence of members of the Deputy Prime Minister , Hussain al-Shahristani, Minister of Transport , Hadi al-Amiri, Deputy Minister of Defense , Saadoun al-Dulaimi, in addition to the Human Rights Minister , Mohammed Shiyaa al-Sudani ," According to a statement issued by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Committee , Saleh al-Mutlaq received by "Shafaq News".
The Iraqi army forces stormed the protester's square, where opponents of marched against the government's policies in Hawija southern province of Kirkuk (250 km north east of Baghdad) last April that led to death of dozens and injury of many people, from both sides.
This incident has raised tensions in the country and the violent reprisals that left hundreds dead and wounded and almost ignite sectarian conflict.
