HOMS - Governor of Homs, Ahmad Munir Mohammad, reviewed with a delegation of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Syria, headed by Tareq Kurdi, means of delivering humanitarian aid to people affected in the current crisis.

The governor stressed the importance of the UNHCR's humanitarian efforts to provide help to people in need, stressing that the governorate will provide all facilitations to the delegation members to carry out their mission and national duty.

He pointed out to the damage caused by the armed terrorist groups' criminal acts against citizens and infrastructure in the province.

Kurdi reviewed the organization's efforts in Syria and its program which aims at supporting humanitarian work, pointing out to cooperation and facilitations provided by the Syrian government.

He added that the organization has set up a plan to distribute aid to the most affected families.

In turn, Director of Homs Health, Hassan al-Jendi briefed the delegation on the situation of health sector, the negative impact of the sabotage acts and the directorate's plans to provide healthcare services to all citizens.
