SALALAH -- McDonald's Oman (Al Daud Restaurants LLC) opened its first McDonald's restaurant in Salalah on Wednesday. The new McDonald's restaurant was inaugurated by Salim bin Ofait bin Abdullah al Shanfari, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, together with Ali K Daud, Development Licensee and President of McDonald's Oman. A large number of dignitaries and restaurant guests were present on the occasion.
The McDonald's restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Salalah Gardens Mall, the first combined mall and residence complex being constructed in Salalah by the United Real Estate company Oman. Salalah Gardens Mall is situated on the Robat Road, near the Ittin junction, within the main business area in Salalah, which is in proximity to the Salalah International Airport.
The restaurant has a contemporary design, modern decor, and separate accessible entrance from the outside providing greater eating out convenience for its customers to enjoy McDonald's varied choices of hot and fresh food. Commenting on occasion of the opening of the McDonald's restaurant in Salalah, Ali K Daud said: "We are delighted to open our restaurant in Salalah. We were waiting for this occasion for a long time. I know, including us, many of our customers are really looking forward to having a McDonald's in Salalah. Salalah Gardens Mall is a perfect location and we are very thrilled to be serving our world renowned quality food and easy enjoyment to the people in Salalah."
"With the new McDonald's restaurant, we also open up new job opportunities for the Omani youth in the region and opportunities for local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). We are mindful of these two national objectives and make it our business to do our part," he said.
