Dubai, Aug 26th, 2009 (WAM): Chairman of the Dubai Authority for Culture and Arts HH Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended yesterday the events of the 13th edition of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA).
Sheikh Majid also attended a lecture delivered by Dr. Omer Abdul Kafi at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The scholar used his lecture to portray how short is the terrestrial life of a human being and to highlight the importance of repentance and seeking of forgiveness from God, the ultimate source of eternal mercy. The lecture was also attended by the Chairman of the DIHQA organising committee Ibrahim Bumelha, other officials and a large gathering.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2009.
