DOHA: LG Electronics has launched yesterday its latest range of Cinema 3-Dimension TVs and SmartTVs which are expected to draw a new landscape for home entertainment among residents of Qatar.

"Residents here have now the right choice because Cinema 3D TV is the only next generation TV that they will now enjoy right in their very homes," said H S Paik, President of LG Electronics, Gulf FZE, during a press conference yesterday at La Cigale Hotel.

LG's SmartTV range provides users with access to thousands of movies, customisable apps, videos, and the ability to browse the Internet with an easy to use interface. A keyboard is not needed to surf the web, but a QWERTY keyboard app is available for download on Android smartphones or iPhone.

Calling the new line of LG 3D TV products the latest techonological breakthrough, Paik said the availability of their new models to the local market will open a new chapter in the quality of home entertainment in Qatar.

LG's patented Film Patterned Retarder (FPR) technology is what make the difference on high quality viewing than other leading brands, LG experts said at the launch yesterday.
