Holy Qom - A founding member of Lebanese Muslim Clergies said here Friday tremendous efforts have been made aimed at achieving Islamic unity under guidance of Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

'Tremendous efforts aimed at achieving Islamic unity have been made under the leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei, and I hereby from this spot pray to Almighty Allah for immediate full health of His Eminence,' said Sheikh Abdul Nasser Jabri in a meeting of a delegation of Lebanese Muslim Clerics (LMC) with Grand Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani.

The LMC, he said, was established in 1970, simultaneously with the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, adding that praise to Allah, today 250 prominent clergies are its members.

The Lebanese party's founding member meanwhile praised the Qom-based sources of Islamic jurisprudence, whom he said are shouldering a heavy responsibility, as 'the Qom Seminary is a free, independent, and powerful seminary in Islamic world.'

Sheikh Jabri meanwhile stressed that the Islamic world clergies must do their best aimed at achieving the Islamic unity as soon as possible.
