KUWAIT, Nov 2 (KUNA) -- Assistant Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior (MoI) for Information Technology (IT) and Communication Sheikh Mesh'al Al-Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah said on Sunday his ministry was working to ensure up-to-date services to the municipal by-elections of the eighth constituency.

The efforts aim to facilitate the voting process for voters and candidates alike in line with the instructions of Minister of Interior Staff Lt.Gen. Sheikh Jaber Al-Khalid Al-Sabah and Undersecretary of the Ministry Lt.Gen. Ahmad Al-Rajib, Sheikh Meshal told reporters here.

The IT services aim to provide voters with easy access to data and information about voting stations and candidates via the land-based phones, mobile phones and the Internet, he revealed.

The land-based phone service will available on Nos. 22254530 and 22254531 as from Monday evening.

Voters can also use the MoI Operations Unit's hotline No. 1886622 to inquire about the voting process, Al-Mesh'an noted.

All data about voters, candidates and voting stations as well as the ministerial decree calling for holding the municipal by-elections of the eighth constituency are also available on the MoI website, he added. The by-elections are set for November 5.
