KUWAIT: The State Security Department (SSD) has released Abdullah Marzouq Al-Qurashi, the director of the Daleel satellite TV channel and lecturer at Taef University in Saudi Arabia, following his detention in Kuwait International Airport.
Al-Qurashi, who was reportedly arrested as he arrived on a flight from Riyadh, was taken to the SSD headquarters in South Surra for questioning, but it soon became apparent that the activities he was being accused of had taken place some years ago and the information was out of date.
Al-Qurashi appeared to bear no ill will about his detention, saying that the investigators had behaved fairly towards him, reported Al-Rai. He explained that he was in Kuwait in order to recruit technical staff for the satellite TV channel.
