Kuwait City - Kuwait resumed oil exports and drilling on Saturday after an "unprecedented" sandstorm hit the Gulf Arab state causing major disruptions and forcing the closure of ports.

Kuwait International Airport also suspended flights completely, but there were no reports of damage from the enormous storm which also struck neighbouring countries, including Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
