KUWAIT -- Newly-built headquarters of the interior ministry will be ready for staffing as of October 12, a ministry official said on Tuesday.

Major General Eid Abdullah Bou Sulaib, the assistant undersecretary for back-up services, indicated during an inspection of the new building in the district of Subhan that the ministry would occupy the new facility after coordination with the Ministry of Public Labor and the General Directorate of Construction and Maintenance.

Maj. Gen. Bou Sulaib also indicated that his tour of the site was in line with guidelines by Interior Minister Lieut. Gen. (retired) Sheikh Jaber Khaled al-Sabah.

The facility will include various offices, parking lots, basements, a security system and a landing bad for helicopters.
