BAGHDAD / NINA / PM of the Kurdistan Regional Government Najervan Barzani stressed on Tuesday that the culture of tolerance and coexistence among the components of the Kurdish community is one of the main foundations of the Kurds.

A statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government quoted Barzani as saying during a meeting with the Patriarch Mardnkha the fourth, President of the Church of the East Assyrian headed by Bishop Mar Melissa uniform: that what happened is a disaster in all the criteria and these events have proven that all ingredients in Kurdistan stand in the same trench, so they are insisting that all will remain together.

He added that the Kurdistan region takes into consideration all of its components, especially the Christian component which is one of the important components,

He continued: We have lived a bitter experience, but at the same time was full of lessons and the lessons that encourage us to work on building a better future for all components of Kurdistan, assured the delegation that the government and the people of the region will work their best to provide security and stability and free and dignified life for all components and will not spare effort in this area.

For his part, Bishop Mar Melissa expressed during the meeting, "thanks to the Kurdistan Regional Government for such assistance and aid provided to the sisters and brothers of Christians, noting that recent events experience was once very catastrophic," asserting confidence in that these events are temporary and will pass.
