On the same day, the monarch will inaugurate La Place du 16 novembre.

A fireworks event is also scheduled for the occasion, in the esplanade of Tour Hassan and most of the capital's areas.

The ceremony is part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of late King Mohammed V's return from exile on November 16, 1955 and the Independence Day on 18 November 1956.

On Thursday, HM King Mohammed VI will inaugurate Mohammed V Museum, and on the following day he will observe the Friday prayers in the mosque of Mohammed V Mausoleum.

The Moroccan Ministry of Communication started on Monday,, under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, four days of festivities in Rabat, to commemorate the two events.

An exhibition, entitled "Mohammed V and the Independence Journey: from the Cherifian Army to the creation of the Royal Armed Forces," will be representing military history in the Mohammed V National Theatre Hall on Nov.17-22.

Another exhibition of the book "Feu Mohammed V" will be launched in the same national theatre, as well as the Mohammed V Museum.

An art show, entitled "A hymn of a King and a people," will take place in the Mohammed V National Theatre.

In Boulevard Mohammed V (Place des Alaouites), a musical party animated by the Orchestra of The Royal Air Forces will take place.

The last day of the festivities will witness the launching, in Mohammed V Boulevard, of an exhibition displaying previously unseen pictures, under the theme "The Late King Mohammed V and the struggle for independence."

A prize awarding ceremony is also scheduled to reward young creators who participated in the contest themed "The Late King Mohammed V."

The festivities will be concluded by a show, entitled "Sound and Lights" with the participation of the Moroccan Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Chorale and a fireworks event in the Chellah, Rabat.
