Abu Dhabi: Khalifa University will host a major international education conference in the capital from May 6 to 8 to create an environment for educational institutions and industry leaders to meet and grow.
The fourth annual QS Middle East and Africa Professional Leaders in Education (MAPLE) conference is part of Global QS, the world’s leading network for top careers and education and one of the most important university ranking bodies in the world.
“We are thrilled to be hosting this exciting conference. Khalifa University strongly believes in enabling our motivated faculty, staff and students to fulfil their potential by fostering a culture of educational achievement and career development,” Dr Tod Laursen, president of Khalifa University, said.
Held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the QS-MAPLE conference will help evaluate the performance of the universities and raise the level of Abu Dhabi and other UAE universities in world university rankings.
The QS-MAPLE was held in Johannesburg, South Africa, last year to enhance the development of higher education in the Middle East and Africa and support the processes of institutional evaluation and upgrading that will lead to worldwide recognition of the universities in these regions.
