Governor General of Iran's western Kermanshah Province Dadvash Hashemi said on Wednesday that based on official statistics, export of non-oil products from the province in the past eight months of the current Iranian year rose by about 26 percent in value compared to the figure in the preceding period.

Hashemi told IRNA that the exports were worth $1.275 billion.

He said the exports enjoyed growth despite the sanctions and hostilities.

He added that major portion of the exports destined to Iraq due to long borders shared with the country, Kuwait, the UAE, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Syria, Turkey, Germany, Armenia, Morocco, Taiwan, the Philippines, China, Egypt, Venezuela and Canada.

Potatoes, tomato paste, yoghurt, cakes and biscuits, soft drinks, mineral products, cement, tiles and polika pipes, metal products, plastics, cosmetics and sanitary ware were the items of the province's exports.
