MUSCAT -- A shopping experience spread over 70,000 square feet occupying four floors and comprising more than a million designs, comes to the heart of the shopping paradise at T. Nagar, Chennai, in India, with this multi-faceted international jewellery showroom from the Joyalukkas Group.
The world's biggest jewellery showroom was inaugurated on March 16 by eminent dignitaries. The gold section was unveiled by Philip Oldan, managing director (marketing and jewellery) of World Gold Council, London and the diamond section by Roland Lorie, CEO of International Gemological Institute, Antwerp, Belgium.
The inauguration also witnessed the presence of prominent diplomats, industrialists and cine stars. The array of gold jewellery at the Joyalukkas' Chennai showroom is showcased on two floors; diamonds and platinum jewellery occupy one floor and silver and precious stones such as green tourmaline, pink tourmaline, black tourmaline, quartz, topaz, ruby, sapphire, pearls, to name a few, occupy the other floor.
Though this is their first time in Chennai, they are not in unfamiliar territory since they have a good presence in Tamil Nadu with showrooms at Madurai, Salem, Tirunelveli and Coimbatore. They are a household name among the expatriate population as well as NRI population in the AGCC countries besides India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Philippines and other Asian countries, due to the reputation earned from their quality and designs.
On this occasion, the Joyalukkas Group is organising a grand carnival over a period of one month from the inauguration day. The carnival will witness the presence of numerous stalls comprising food stalls, tattoo, mehendi and various other activities.
The carnival is being organised to give the Chennai shoppers an international shopping experience and is aimed at making Joyalukkas the one-stop jewellery destination in the city. This Chennai showroom is a milestone in the eventful 52 years of existence of Joyalukkas Group, which was established in 1956.
With the opening of their first showroom in the Gulf in 1987, there has been no looking back and they have achieved enormous growth, with over 50 stores in the AGCC countries alone and have also made their presence felt in New York and London.
Coming to Chennai, it being one of the largest gold markets in the world, is truly a dream come true and an added feather in the cap for the group. It is the evidence of the loyalty and trust shown by the customers since their inception. The unique concept and the design of the store has been undertaken keeping in mind the desires and needs of the customers. The legendary quality and genuine value, in addition to the highest level of service, have been the foundation of Joyalukkas' success. Here, special attention is given to detailing, to ensure that the interests of the customers are completely taken care of.
This showroom will also enable customers to gain an insight into the creation of the most sought after commodity diamonds, featuring a diamond journey through a cave mines to hearts, the first of its kind exclusive diamond museum inside the showroom, to allow the customers to understand the workmanship involved in the creation of such exquisite jewellery.
Other attractions here also include a jewellery design studio, privileged customer club, exclusive and private area for individual purchases, designer and jewellery watches, a gemstone consultant, kids play area, easy access to all sections via lifts and escalators and the parking facility for over 200 cars.
