AMMAN (Petra) -- Minister of Political Development and Parliamentary Affairs Sabri Rbeihat on Saturday briefed a US Congressional delegation on the country's political, economic and administrative reform programme. The delegates are Representatives Al Green of Texas, Bob Inglis from South Carolina, Christopher Shays of Connecticut and Brian Higgins of New York.
Rbeihat briefed the delegates, who are currently on a two-day official visit to the country, on the role of the ministry to expand citizens' contribution to political life. Regarding regional issues, Rbeihat stressed the need to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East region, underlining the importance of arriving at a solution for the Palestinian question.
