Amman - The Jordan chambers of industry and commerce signed an agreement with the Azerbaijani National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (ANCE) to boost economic and trade cooperation and set up joint investments projects between the two sides.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of meetings of the Joint Jordanian-Azerbaijani Joint Committee in Baku by President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry Hatim Halawani and First Deputy of the President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce Issa Murad on the Jordanian side, and by President of the ANCE Mammad Musayev on the Azerbaijani side. In a press statement on Sunday, Murad said the agreement aims to develop economic ties between the two countries, increase trade exchange and promote relations between business owners.
The agreement he added, is also designed to enhance cooperation between the private sector from both countries, set up joint investment projects in addition to boosting cooperation in the trade, industrial and tourism services fields.
Under the agreement, the two sides will also organize conferences and seminars on the business sector in Jordan, exchange data on trade and economic sectors and facilitate the flow of trade between the two countries.
