Nayef Al-Rajhi Investment has contracted a Japanese company to build a mixed-use tower on King  Fahd Road here which it hopes to be "a masterpiece of architectural and  and engineering excellence".

Nikken Sky Japanese consulting and engineering company was tapped by Nayef Al-Rajhi to construct the tower.

Nayef Bin Saleh Al Rajhi, Chairman of Naif Al Rajhi investment, said after the signing of the contract with Mitsuo Nakamura, head of Nikken Sky, that the Japanese  company was tapped based on its global reputation and quality of its designs and innovative approach.

Naif Al-Rajhi Investment seeks to consolidate its position as one of the major real estate development companies in the Middle East by launching various projects in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, the company said in a statement.

He said that the signing of this contract was the result of many meetings to build an "eye-catching" tower against the skyline of Riyadh.

He stressed that the yet-unnamed tower will be constructed to support efforts to in the efforts to help develop tourism and spur the economic development of the Kingdom.

He said Naif Al-Rajhi Investment seeks to provide high-quality projects with added-value at reasonable price, adding that the company's previous projects have met the approval of its clients.
