Abu Dhabi, Feb 23rd, 2011 (WAM) -- ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT) has entered into an agreement with THEON Sensors S.A. to supply ITTs Generation 3 image intensifier tubes required to support their recent contract award from Sweden.
Under the agreement, ITT will provide an initial quantity of 160 Generation 3 image intensifier tubes to Theon Sensors, who will incorporate them into their NX-122A Night Vision Monocular for the Swedish Armed forces. The agreement carries options for several thousand additional Generation 3 image intensifier tubes to be purchased through the end of 2014. "This current agreement is a result of a very successful and long standing relationship with THEON Sensors, and will allow ITT to be a key supplier on this very important international program," said Bruce A. Wald, vice president and general manager of ITTs Night Vision & Imaging business area. "We are very excited to combine our image intensifier tube production capabilities with THEONs world-class system engineering strengths to meet the needs of the Swedish Armed Forces", he added.
