Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad-Reza Sheibani discussed issues of mutual interest with Lebanese Sunni Mufti Muhammad Rashid Qabani here Saturday.

The two sides discussed Iran and Saudi Arabia's efforts concerning finding a solution for Lebanon crisis with the help of other Arab countries.

The Lebanese mufti wished success for the meeting of President Ahmadinejad and Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul al-Aziz adding eyes have been focused on the outcome of the meeting, especially those related to Lebanon.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the head of a senior political delegation arrived in Saudi Arabia on Saturday and immediately started his negotiations with the Saudi king and other high ranking officials.

Earlier, Vice-President of the Lebanese Higher Shiite Council Sheikh Abdel-Amir Qabalan had also expressed hope that the outcome of Iran-Saudi Arabia talks on regional problems, including Lebanese political crisis could be fruitful.

He said on saturday, "We hope with current consultations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, Lebanese crisis can be solved before meeting of Arab League summit."

Qabalan said the sole factor of causing all problems in the region was the US neo-colonialism adding that the US has assigned Israel to destroy Lebanon and now is instigating Lebanese political groups against each others.
