TEHRAN - Following long discussions in the sessions of the Economic Commission of the Majlis, the bill on the expansion of the limits of a number of the Free Commercial-Industrial Zones (FCIZ) was ratified.

The entire island of Qeshm excluding the areas specified as military zones are all included in the limits of the Qeshm Free Commercial-Industrial Zones, the ratified bill said.

Also, the ports of Shahid Beheshti, Shahid Kalantari as well as the city of Chabahar as outlined and ratified by the cabinet would be annexed to the present limits of the Chabahar Free Commercial-Industrial Zone.

According to the bill, the limits of the Aras Free Commercial-Industrial Zone will encompass the Islamic Republic of Iran's boundaries with those of the republics of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
