Iran is taking part in the Sixth Uzbekistan International Energy Exhibition known as 'Uzenergyexpo-2011' which opened in Tashkent on Wednesday.
Some 40 companies from China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan are displaying their latest products in the three-day event, IRNA reported.
Head of Uzbekistan Energy and Automation Institute Teymour Salehov told the inaugural ceremony that establishing security in energy is the basic goal of each country.
The use of modern machinery will have a crucial role in the development of the country's economy, he noted.
The exhibit not only provides an opportunity to present new equipment in the energy sector, but also helps improve Uzbekistan's economy, he added.
Rejal Shimi Company is representing Iran in the event. The company exports petrochemical raw materials to Uzbekistan. It seeks to introduce Iran's capabilities in the production of such materials and help further promote bilateral relations.
