TEHRAN - All 12 gas units of Damavand Combined Cycle Power Plant will gradually be joining the national grid two to seven months earlier than scheduled deadline, the Persian service of IRNA reported on Monday.

Water and natural gas supply is underway for the plant's six 160-MW power stations while the engineering and equipment installation are 17.45% and 36.15% complete respectively.

Foundation and concrete works are also among the major tasks finished in the last three months. Moreover, 360,000 cubic meters of gas is supplied to the units and the rest of the projected 560,000 will be provided in the second phase.

Iranian Mapna is the main contractor of this stage and Mashanir of Iran offers consulting services.
