Damascus - Chairman of the International Cooperation and State Planning Commission Amer Housni Lutfi on Monday discussed with United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Resident Representative in Syria Ismail Ould al-Cheikh Ahmed what has been achieved of the Innovation and Business Development Center's project in Deir-Ezzour.

The project is comprised of an innovation and business development center, a center for supporting small projects, vocational training center in Deir-Ezour, innovation and business development center in al-Raqqa, the project of rehabilitating the Roman wells in the northeastern area and the project of restoring ancient markets in Deir-Ezzour.

Lutfi pointed out that the project is an important step to develop society in the field of small and medium-sized projects, adding that it enables merchants to manage their businesses as it also enables the young to gain management ability which could help them obtain suitable job opportunities.

For his part, Ould al-Cheikh Ahmed said that the project helps develop small and medium-sized projects, improve the skills of companies' owners and employees through providing the suitable training to them.
