Muscat - India's Jasubhai Engineering considers Oman a very important market for its future growth prospects in the Middle East region.

This was highlighted at the launch of Jasubhai Engineering Muscat LLC, a subsidiary of Dubai-based Jasubhai International FZCO, on Tuesday in the Ghala Industrial Area. The company's integration centre was inaugurated by Hamed Ali Matar al Jabri, general manager of projects at the Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) on Tuesday.

Speaking to Muscat Daily at the event, Maulik Jasubhai, group chief executive of Jasubhai Group, said Jasubhai Engineering Muscat is an entirely independent company which will work closely with group's entire Middle East operations.

He said, "Oman will be a very strong pillar of our Middle East operations. We are expanding our presence in the entire Middle East, and we consider Oman to be a very important market for our future growth prospects. We want to make long-term commitments in Oman and we are investing in people and facilities. Based in Oman, this company will have its own engineers, resources, sales and services and testing facilities."

Jasubhai said the company will target primarily three areas in the sultanate, namely oil and gas, water and water-related technologies and process automation for all other industrial segments.

"In the water sector, we are trying to develop a complete set of technologies from water treatment to water purification to water desalination plants to high purity water," he said.

"Over the past one year we have done six-seven projects here in Oman. We think that Oman can grow very rapidly and we hope to be an integral part and important player in Oman market," added Jasubhai.

Jasubhai Engineering has more than 45 years of experience in the field of process control, automation and various engineering business. Jasubhai Group is a services company with interests in publications, engineering and events.
