Homs - Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi discussed with head of the European al-Wafaa Campaign Amin Abu Rashed and the accompanying the delegation the state of relief work and means to provide aid to affected people.
Al-Barazi lauded the efforts of the Campaign in providing aid to those who need it, asserting that it plays a role in supporting the steadfastness of the Syrian and Palestinian people in the face of conspiracies.
He said that Syria is paying the price for its positions regarding vital issues, noting that Syria ranks 4th in the world among countries that receive and aid refugees.
For his part, Abu Rashed said that Homs was chosen as the first stop of the current convoy organized Campaign after visiting Damascus, and that the convoy will visit other provinces and inspect the conditions of displaced and affected people.
This convoy will distribute around 20 tons of food and 2,500 blankets over a period of two days in Homs.
The European al-Wafaa Campaign is a popular campaign organized by members of Arab and Muslim communities in Europe.
