MAKKAH: Hira General Hospital in Makkah has established a direct telephone line to provide medical consultancy free of charge to pilgrims and residents, the hospital announced Tuesday.
It said the line, 5211124, would be open daily between 3 and 4 p.m. to receive questions and inquiries from callers.
Director of the hospital Waleed bin Abdul Haleem Muhammad Hussain said the establishment of the line was aimed at involving community members with the hospital and at providing them with medical advice, which might be of great significance to them.
"We are keen on the health of individuals and society at large. We will provide the callers with preventive and curative advice to the diseases they may be suffering from," he added.
The director said calls would be received and answered by specialists and consultants in internal diseases, rheumatism, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, dermatology, heart and psychology.
