Egypt - International hospitality company Hilton intends to add about 1,700 new keys in Egypt as part of its expansion plan until 2026, Regional Director Mohab Ghali told Reuters.

Hilton aims to increase its hotel capacity by 28% from the current 6,000 rooms that are located across 14 hotels in Egypt.

The hospitality group plans to add three new brands, besides its current Hilton and Conrad, within five years to operate in the Arab republic.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hilton was working on adding eight new hotels to its management portfolio in Egypt to reach 24 facilities by 2024, up from 16 establishments in the end of 2019.
