AJMAN, 31st July, 2013 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has said that the UAE's adopted policy of open doors between the ruler and the citizens is not a favour, but the duty of leadership. Sheikh Humaid added that the country's work environment and creative innovation has also provided extensive opportunities for citizens to participate in the work of national responsibilities.
The Ajman Ruler said this in a dialogue with Staff Major. Yousef Juma Al Hadad, Editor in Chief of Dira'a al-Watan Magazine (Nation Shield Magazine), stating that the UAE is not a country of glamorous slogans but sayings paired with deeds and accomplishments. He also added that the UAE's leadership is following a transparency approach in dealing with all the issues of life in order to achieve the wishes and aspirations of all the citizens. His Highness stressed the need to maintain all the achievements of state, to continue providing a decent and stable life for citizens, giving care to the human element and the consolidation of security for all throughout the country. He continued, "The health of citizens and residents have received special attention and priority through the passing of legislation, the construction of health facilities and the provision of medical services to achieve the highest health level for individuals and society. He pointed out that the President's initiative is to provide access to health-care services for all residents, even in remote areas, regardless of population density. His Highness stated that women in the UAE share the workload side by side with men in all work places, saying that the percentage of UAE women in the Parliament represents the largest percentage in the Arab world, thanks to the support given by the UAE's leadership. He hailed the Cabinet's early approval of the budget each year, considering it as a good sign manifested in the wisdom of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He affirmed that this step gives an opportunity for the preparation and approval of projects and disbursement of the various budgets, considering it a milestone in the UAE's wise government. With regard to the repercussions of the global economic crisis, Sheikh Humaid confirmed that the UAE's political leadership dealt with the global financial crisis very early and effectively. The state's treatment of this crisis came with a package of serious effective financial and banking measures which reflected positively and helped to overcome many of the negative repercussions of the crisis. He also expressed his optimism regarding hosting World Expo 2020 in the Emirate of Dubai, which enjoys an appropriate infrastructure and already has a large amount of technological progress and readiness required by the Expo. He said that the Emirate of Ajman had put Emiratisation and national capacity-building at the top of its priorities, as Emiratisation is a national issue and a major challenge that should be worked on.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2013.
