Well-known Indian designer JJ Valaya will be showing his diffusion line of clothes for the first time in Dubai at the fashion show titled Glamore 2003 tonight.

Eleven top models, including Femina Miss India Universe 2003 Nikita, Miss India World 2003 Ami and Miss India Earth 2003 Swetha, will take to the catwalk for the show, to be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The evening will start at 8.30pm and feature 60 outfits from the Studio Valaya range, which combines couture sumptuousness with western understatement.

Valaya said: "The collections combine the past with the present and bear a contemporary look. The collection is youthful, filled with bright colours, floral motifs, silk thread work and sequins."He said the clothes will range from sarees to jeans with a distinctive look bearing the stamp of the designer.

The show is choreographed by Anu Ahuja and features the models in five sequences. Young UAE-based designer Tina Adnani will also show her Indo-Western line of clothes.

The show is expected to last 45 minutes, followed by a performance by pop singer Supriya, who will sing mainly Hindi and Punjabi medleys. Valaya's clothes will be on sale after the show.

Tickets are priced at Dh250 and Dh175.
