Tehran - Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi received new Laotian accredited Ambassador to Tehran here on Saturday. According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department, the new Laotian accredited Ambassador Sung Fanah Siakhafun submitted a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Salehi.
In the meeting, Salehi told the new Laotian envoy that Iran is ready to help Laos in the fields of oil, gas, medical science as well as other sectors.
Salehi expressed pleasure with presence of new Laotian envoy here in Tehran and called for using all capacities in both countries to expand bilateral relations.
The Laotian diplomat conveyed greetings of his country Foreign Minister to Iranian counterpart and referred to Iran's high status in the region and said his country intends to strengthen ties between the two countries.
