Bushehr - Deputy Foreign Minister for Latin American Affairs Kambiz Jalali said Iran has signed 250 agreements with Latin American countries in the past few years.
Making the remark in a meeting of Bushehr province's economic working group here in southern country on Sunday, he said the agreements basically focus on enhancing trade ties with Latin American nations and providing engineering and technological services to them.
He noted that there is apt ground for the private sector on both sides to develop and improve cooperation.
Referring to many common points Iranian and Latin American nations share like their love for peace, justice and democracy, he said the Latin American states have managed to get a special position in the international economic arena due to their very high industrial potentials, easy investment rules and free markets.
Jalili is accompanying ambassadors of seven Latin American countries namely Brazil, Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Mexico and Ecuador who are here in the coast of the Persian Gulf on a two-day visit to become familiar with the economic potentials of the province particularly in oil, gas and petrochemical areas.
