ExecuJet Middle East, the business aviation services company and part of the global ExecuJet Aviation Group, has completed the first stage of its aggressive expansion plan by more than doubling the number of employees working in the region.
The company has recruited 26 people within six months, bringing the total headcount to 45, and positioning it to be one of the "best resourced full-service business aviation companies in the Middle East".
Two of the main growth areas in the company have been ExecuJet's maintenance and operations divisions, as the company looks to recruit a pool of aviation expertise that will enable it to extend its charter activities and expand the range of services offered to business jet operators.
Key activities supported by these two divisions include ground handling, flight planning, and aircraft administration.
"Over the last six months, ExecuJet has expanded its team in the Middle East, making new additions across all departments, as part of a phased strategy for growth. We're confident that we now have one of the strongest offerings for business aviation customers on the market," said Horm Irani, the Middle East managing director.
As well as bolstering its Dubai-based operations, ExecuJet has also strengthened its presence in Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Cairo.
Demand for ExecuJet's complete set of aviation services has seen business increase over the last 12 months, as more travellers look to the reliability, convenience and safety of private jet travel.
In addition to the new human resources recruited, ExecuJet has also added new aircraft to its charter fleet in recent months, including a Bombardier Global Express and a Pilatus PC-12.
One of the mid-term goals of ExecuJet's expansion plan is to ensure that the company has sufficient resources to staff its dedicated aircraft service centre and spare parts depot, currently under construction at Dubai International Airport.
The 28,000-square-foot service centre, being built in partnership with Bombardier Aero-space, will feature two maintenance bays capable of accommodating two Bombardier Global Express ultra long-range business jets at the same time.
When fully operational, the facility will provide full-time employment for almost 60 staff and specialists.
ExecuJet Middle East was established in 1998 and is based at Dubai International Airport. It specialises in the sale and support of business aircraft to suit most mission profiles.
The company is the official sales and distribution agent for Bombardier Aerospace's entire range of Learjet business jet aircraft in 10 Middle Eastern countries.
Furthermore, ExecuJet is also an appointed Pilatus distributor for the PC-12 turboprop aircraft in the same sales territory.
