BARDO - Ennahdha group president in the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) Sahbi Atig requested to the NCA president the holding of a plenary session devoted to hearing the Interior and Justice Ministers on the assassination of NCA member Mohamed Brahmi.
The aim, he said, is to determine the responsibilities within the Interior Ministry on the information on this issue and examine the latest developments on the judiciary and media levels.
In this connection, Sahbi Atig specified that the Ennahdha parliamentary group will request during the plenary session clarifications to Interior Minister Lotfi Ben Jeddou on the "leaked" document with an alert relayed by the external security management of July 14, concerning the assassination of elected member Mohamed Brahmi, so as to determine the responsibilities in this issue."
The Ennahdha parliamentary group will also request to the Interior Minister details on the latest developments in the sectors of Justice and media, Sahbi Atig added. The Ennahdha caucus proposes that the plenary session of next Thursday devoted to the examination of draft laws be devoted to the hearing of the two Ministers and be scheduled later.
It is to be reminded that Mustapha Ben Jaafar had conferred last Friday with Interior Minister, on the alert notification concerning the assassination of the Popular Movement General Co-ordinator Mohamed Brahmi shot dead last July 25. After this meeting, Lotfi Ben Jeddou had confirmed the existence of the alert notification while denying having an idea of the document on the assassination of Brahmi timely.
