Abu Dhabi, Sept. 16th, 2008 (WAM)--Emirates Palace has treated the media persons to a sumptuous Suhour (pre-dawn meal) in very special Khaimat Al Qasr tent, which is sponsored by du - the integrated telecom operator in the UAE- to mark the advent of the holy month of Ramadan and recognise the credible role of the media community.

The colourful night, which was staged in association with the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du), was graced by elite of leaders of media industry and correspondents of Arabic newspapers and magazines in the UAE.

Commenting on the occasion, Emirates Palace General Manager Hans Olbertz said :'' The media is playing a crucial and active role in promoting the premier image of the Emirates Palace as a signature tourism trademark of Abu Dhabi at the world scene.

''We are keen to continue our partnership and contacts with the media community so as to work hand-in-hand to achieve mutual interests and objectives the foremost of them is to establish the standing of Abu Dhabi as a capital of culture and an attractive holiday-making destination in the region,' he added.

He announced that the Emirates Palace would host an array of major cultural and artistic events in the fourth quarter of 2008 including film festivals, art exhibitions.

''Abu Dhabi is now emerging as one of the capital of choice in the Middle East for international MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) and premier cultural events which attract hundreds thousands of holidaymakers, and businessmen.
