Emaar Properties launched a new themed villa community development - 'Gazelle at the Arabian Ranches.'

Located on the eastern edge of Arabian Ranches, a mere nine-minute drive from the fourth interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road, this desert resort is a 208 acre development, with three themed gated communities which front an expansive lake built on two levels.

The construction of this new multi-billion-dirham development will begin with the first phase, named Al Reem, which is expected to be ready for possession by March 2005.

The sale of individual homes will open today at the Arabian Ranches Sales Centre, which will remain open from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm, seven days a week.

Inspired by the beauty of the desert and the grace of the Arabian Gazelle, the villa designs incorporate elements from traditional Arabic, Spanish, Western and contemporary styles.

Gazelle comprises eight luxurious villa types laid out around parks, gardens and a community centre with walking and cycling paths on the water edge.

The Gazelle homes are two-storey attached villas, varying from three to four bedrooms which range in total areas from 1,691 to 3,060 square feet.

Every home comes with space to park two cars. Prices for individual units start from Dh448,888 with mortgage financing packages from Amlak, Emaar subsidiary.

Mansour Al Othaimin, corporate director, sales and marketing, Emaar Properties, said: "With the Gazelle development at the Arabian Ranches we aim to extend and enhance the Emaar offer of quality real-estate to our customers from all income segments.

"Consistent with Emaar's promise of creating a unique lifestyle around communities catering to every need, the Gazelle community will have a mosque, sports centres, swimming pool, children's play area and 24-hour security and maintenance services".

Last December, Emaar Properties awarded 14 local and international construction companies and consultancies contracts for the multi-billion dirham Arabian Ranches villas, to be developed on 3,000 acres.

A Dh1 billion tender for the first phase of Emaar Properties' Arabian Ranches has also been released.

Arabian Ranches will have two golf courses, equestrian and polo grounds, a network of man-made lakes, health spas, luxurious one and two storey singlefamily houses from 2,500 to 4,000 square feet, incorporating smart technology. The project will be constructed in several phases and the first phase is expected to be ready by 2004.

Besides Arabian Ranches, Emaar currently has eight major real estate projects under development, including Dubai Marina, Emirates Hills, The Lakes, The Meadows, The Springs, the Greens, Emaar Towers and the Gold and Diamond Park.
