Cairo – Mubasher: El Sewedy Transformers, a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric Co, has signed a contract with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) to supply and install six transformers at Kafr El-Sheikh and Zizinia substations, Ahram reported on Wednesday.

This move is aimed at meeting the rising electricity demand in these areas, EETC’s chairman Sabah Mashaly said.

At a total cost of EGP 102 million to be financed by EETC’s own resources, the project will be implemented over a period of eight months starting from the date of the notice of award, Mashaly noted.

The six transformers will be supplied at a capacity of 175 MVA for 500-kv Kafr El-Sheikh substation and 220-kv Zizinia substation.
