The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) purchased electricity from renewable energy sources worth EGP 510 million since February, Al Mal News reported.

The company paid more than 75% of that value, and the rest of the dues are being paid in favor of the private sector companies operating in that field.

The company purchased energy with a capacity of 600 million kilowatts/ hour.
