ArabFinance: EFG Hermes (HRHO) inaugurated the second virtual investor conference, on September 21st, to be run till October 1st, according to the company recent statement.

The conference is a digital platform moderated by EFG Hermes, executives from 157 companies representing 25 countries will connect with more than 650 investors managing an aggregate $17 trillion (EGP 267.42 trillion) in assets, EFG Hermes added.

In June, the company hosted the first virtual investor conference in light of having to cancel its flagship One on One Conference due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The first virtual investor conference facilitated more than 6,500 meetings, bringing together executives from 72 companies from 14 countries with 480 institutional investors representing 160 institutions managing assets in excess of $15 trillion (EGP 235.95 trillion), the company said.

In August, investment banking company and GB Capital, GB Auto's subsidiary, announced the completion of a 75% stake acquisition in Tokio Marine Egypt Family Takaful, in a deal worth EGP 84.75 million.

EFG Hermes has a presence in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Oman, and Pakistan. The bank operates under the following segments: holding and treasury, brokerage, asset management, investment banking, private equity, leasing, microfinance, and assets held for sale.
