Abu Dhabi The Eastern Mangroves complex in Abu Dhabi, which consists of a five-star hotel, several residential buildings, a retail centre and a 30-berth marina, is expected to be ready for full operations by the end of this year, the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) announced yesterday.

The project, which is developed by the TDIC, stretches along 1.2 km of Abu Dhabi’s eastern mangroves overlooking the capital’s skyline, with easy access to the city centre via Al Salaam Street.

Construction started in 2009. The TDIC has not revealed the size of its investment.

The hotel, which is the Eastern Mangroves Hotel and Spa by Anantara, and the first phase of the residential component, will be completed in June, and the retail area and remaining residential buildings will be finished in the fourth quarter of this year.
